Hey everyone! Today I am going to give you my review on Curology. If you haven’t heard of Curology, it is a highly advertised custom acne product. I had hear great things about this, but they were sponsored posts so it is hard to tell if they actually work. The first month is free (just pay shipping) so I decided to test it out. My skin isn’t terrible, but I do have quite a bit of acne and small bumps. So anyways, please follow me if you aren’t (it would mean so much!) and enjoy!

Signing up was fairly easy. The only thing I was confused about was that you have to sign up for a monthly subscription in order to get the free bottle. I almost didn’t sign up, but then I saw that you can cancel anytime you want. After I signed up they asked me about my skin and what things I have tried on my skin before. After that they had me upload so me selfies of my skin without makeup. They give you a provider that is basically your online dermatologist. I got an email a few days later talking about the formula they made for me. So overall signing up was pretty easy and quick.

Just in case you were wondering the ingredients in my bottle are: Zinc Pyrithione, Clindamycin, and Niacinamide. I had never heard of these ingredients, so I knew they weren’t the common ingredients found in most acne products.

It shipped pretty fast after me ordering it. It also didn’t take too long to arrive at my house. I signed up for text notifications which was helpful to see what’s going on. It arrived in a small box with no instructions. They sent me an email where the provider talked about how I should use this product and whats in it.

The first night I tried it I used it a bit wrong. The directions said to only use this and your moisturizer, which I can’t do… I’m so sorry I’m a skincare addict lol. It also said to use this before your moisturizer, which I didn’t’ do the first night. Then I decided I better use it how they said to. The next morning I didn’t really see any difference, maybe a little more acne. Then a few days after using this I began to notice that my acne was drying up and healing faster. I had one large pimple and then in was almost gone after using the Curology cream on it once. I am not 100% sure if it was the Curology, but it seemed to be. So far I think I like this cream, my acne is healing faster.

After using this for over a week, I think I understand what people were saying about Curology taking a while to work. When I first tried this it helped get rid of my acne, but now it seems to be making it worse. Some products do that before it helps clear your skin. My skin got pretty bad and isn’t looking too good right now, but the Curology shrinks the pimples overnight. I found that it is more effective to apply the product on a general acne prone area, then your moisturizer over your whole face, then use Curology again as a spot treatment.

After a while of using Curology I have come to the conclusion that it works pretty well with my skin. It does a great job of preventing and getting rid of acne without irritating my skin. Some products will dry out your skin, but this doesn’t dry out mine at all. Normally it will get rid of a pimple with in a few days, or less.

I would definitely recommend Curology to you guys, especially when you can try the first bottle for free. I did repurchase another bottle, even though I am not out of the first one. You don’t use that much so you won’t have to get your subscription every month (you can pause your subscription) which saves money.
Thank you so much for reading this post! I really wanted to make my time with this, so I did document this over about a month. I hope you enjoyed, please like and comment if you did! -Briana
