The first thing I do is get COZY! This basically means I just change into some comfy clothes like sweatpants and a sweatshirt. I also love to light some candles to make my room smell super nice and festive depending on the time of year. I also feel comfier when my room is clean, so I keep my bed made and my room cleanish.

Most of the time when I need a relaxing night I am feeling stressed, which of course reflects on my face. In order to help control my acne and skin I will do a face mask. Some of my favorites are the Body Shop Tea Tree Oil face mask and any Lush one. I will also do a hair mask if I have some extra time. I will put some coconut oil, olive oil, vinegar, eggs and a couple other ingredients in my hair and then wash it out after.

Next I will take a nice hot shower. I do all of the normal shower things while I listen to music. Sometimes when I am stressed, having quiet time can be a curse, music is the answer. I just put up a speaker and listen to some of my favorite tunes.

After I get out of the shower, I do my skincare routine. I don’t feel completely lazy and comfy when I have makeup on. I first remove my makeup using micellar water and then cleanse. I also make sure to moisturize really well.

Every night I watch a crime show with my mom. We have already watched The Five, Luther, Sherlock and a few more. This time is really relaxing and makes me a little more tired. I also will have a snack during this time or some tea.

After the TV I will get ready for bed. Basically this just means taking some vitamins, brushing my teeth and flossing. I will also put my hair into a low pony tail to help it stay out of my face in the night. I think this just helps my face stay cleaner.

After I am ready for bed I will write in my journal or a to do list. This really helps me relax if I am feeling stressed. You will feel a lot better after you do this, so I highly recommend. After this step I will put my phone away for the night.

After I am all ready for bed, I sit in my bed and get all cozy. Then I read one page of the Bible. Now you may be thinking only one page?? But normally at night I am tired and can’t focus as well. So I figure it is better to take longer to read something and actually retain the information.

Next, I take some time to reflect on the day. This is an exercise to help me stay more positive while looking back on the day. I will write down 3 good things that happened to me during the day. It can be anything from I didn’t have any homework today or I won a giveaway!

Finally I will just read a book. I try to only read for about 10 or 15 minutes to just make me more tired, but sometimes I read for a bit longer because I can’t make myself stop. Right now I am reading The Mocking Jay from the Hunger Games series.

After all of that I will go to bed. I try to go to bed around 10:20 or so on week days, but on the weekend it is probably 12:30. It all depends on the time I have to wake up the following morning, I try to get at least 8 hours of sleep every night.
That was my night time routine! Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed, if you did please like and comment! -Briana
