Valentines Day Self Care Routine!

Hello everyone and happy Valentines Day! I am going to be showing you my Valentines Day self care routine. I figured that everyone would be doing posts about relationships and being in love, but self love and care is important too. Please follow me if you aren’t already and enjoy!

These are all things you can do to look and feel your best. I love to do this as often as I can in order to take time for myself.

Cozy Vibes

First thing first, get cozy. Get changed into some super comfortable clothes and light a candle. Make sure you are comfortable before you start doing anything. Take off your makeup and put your hair up.

Workout

Something that I do to feel my best is do a workout. I use the 7 minute workout for women app. This is obviously not super important, but if you feel like treating yourself later, this might make you feel better about that lol.

Face Mask

Next I am going to do a face mask. This time I am going to be making my own, but some of my favorites are the Body Shop’s face masks and Lush’s. Here is the recipe that I am going to be using, it is mostly for acne and acne scarring:

  • aloe vera
  • matcha powder
  • indian healing clay
  • rose hip oil
  • tea tree oil
  • honey

Hair

I always like to change my hair, so I started with getting a trim to keep the ends healthy. Next I am going to do a hair mask to promote hair growth, here is the recipe:

  • coconut oil
  • olive oil
  • castor oil
  • vinegar
  • sea salt

Read // Write

While you have the face and hair mask on, read your favorite book. Nothing is more relaxing to me than reading or writing (even watching TV). Writing is also great whether it is writing in a diary, bible study, bullet journalling, or just creative writing.

Shave and Moisturize

Next, take a shower or bath, whatever your feeling. Make sure that you take the time to do what we all dread… shave. Also, make sure that you exfoliate and moisturize your skin after shaving. Putting a little bit more effort into your skincare routine is also something you can do.

Bake 

Since it’s Valentines day, bake some treats! I made some snickerdoodles. Make sure you don’t eat too much though, since the point is to feel good about yourself. Basically, just treat yourself to something you don’t normally eat.
