Hey everyone! Today I am going to be telling you all about my first surfing experience. I haven’t gone yet while writing this intro and I am so excited! I mentioned that I wanted to go surfing a while ago and I am so happy that I got the opportunity to go! Also, please subscribe to see new posts every Friday!
*please don’t mind the ugly/hilarious facial expressions I make while concentrating*
I took a lesson with my younger sister through a local surf school. The staff were all really nice and it was easier than you would expect to take lessons. Our instructor was nice but it was hard to tell if he was being funny or serious about some things.
Our lesson was 2 1/2 hours long, which is super tiring. We started out by learning the surfing rituals and safety stuff. Then we went out to the beach and practiced a few things in the sand. It was definitely harder than I thought to remember everything.
Then we finally went out into the water. It actually wasn’t cold because we were wearing wetsuits, which was great! It didn’t take long for me to be able to stand up, but it was hard to stay up. By the end of the lesson I was able to stand up for a while but my form and technique wasn’t great.

Overall this was really fun but also really hard and tiring. I have always wanted to try surfing and I am really glad I did! If you have wanted to try something new for a while, do it! Thank you so much for reading and don’t forget to subscribe!
Question: Have you ever surfed? What is something you have always wanted to try?
