Corgi Beach Day and feeling sad. (secret announcement) | Life Update 5

Hey everyone today is going to be my fifth life update! I am really liking these posts, so let me know if you want me to keep doing these through out the year. Also, this is going to be a long one, but pretty fun! Please subscribe to my blog first, and enjoy!

Ok, so the first thing is definitely the most exciting. My family and I traveled down to Oregon for the 2019 Corgi Beach Day! Basically, over 1000 corgis went to Cannon beach for a meet up and it was amazing! We took our corgi, Apollo, to it and he had a lot of fun. I figured that most of you are dog lovers, so enjoy these pictures of him! He had a lot of fun but it was also super cute because he was a little nervous. They also had a costume contest and he was a s’more! We did pretty well in the contest and got second place. We only didn’t get first because the audience chose the winners and they chose some well known breeders that they all knew. Also, all of the proceeds of this event go to the Oregon Humane Society, which is pretty cool.

Not only did we go to the corgi beach day, but we also explored around a few cities. It was so beautiful there and we had a lot of fun. It is a cute little beach town, so we looked around the shops and got some candy. We also went to the thrift store and got some fast food.

The other day, I also went with my grandparents, sister and little cousin on a day trip. We went to a carriage museum which was kind of interesting. It was cool because they had several carriages that were used in movies. We went to a cute little 80’s themed diner after that. Also, we went to a cool little beach spot that was really pretty. I love the ocean so much, so going there twice this week makes me wish that I lived closer to it.

Ok, now for the more disappointing news and for me to discuss some things that have been stressing me out lately. First, I got the news that I wouldn’t be able to work at the bakery that I wanted to like I talked about in my last post. I wouldn’t be able to work the shifts that they wanted with school. So, I am starting over again in applying for things, but I am getting frustrated because all of the jobs that I am excited about don’t work out. Don’t worry though, I will keep applying and keep praying (I would appreciate your prayers too).

I have also been stressing out about what job I want to do in life. Right now the three options that sound interesting to me are physical therapist, orthopedic, film and something in criminal justice or the CIA. It is so difficult for me to decide what I am interested in and want to do for the rest of my life. Right now, I am trying to get involved in several things to help me decide like I will talk about later on.

Also, my birthday is coming up later in August and I am so excited! The week before it, I will be on a cruise with my grandparents which I am also super excited for. 🙂 It’s hard for me during the summer because I feel so bored but I look forward to specific things like that. For now I just go on walks in my beautiful area like this picture.

I guess I am feeling a little lost right now because I don’t know what I want to do, I don’t know what job I will have and I am sitting at home bored. I am really trying to involve myself in anything that I can. For example, I recently just messaged a movie that is being filmed in my very small town and asked if they needed any production assistants. They messaged back and said yes they do, but I am not quite 18 yet, so I can’t. I know that this is all happening for a reason but it is still kind of discouraging.

Ok, so I was going to post this post, but I thought that I should include this part. In this post I was talking about how I was feeling kind of discouraged and sad. If you read my last post where I was a bit more confident and actually texted a guy you would have known that I said it didn’t go great but I didn’t fail. Well… he texted me a week later and asked me out!

I am so terrified because I have never done anything like this before and I really don’t know what to expect. I wanted to include this part because the day before this happened I had been praying more than I normally do, and look what happened! Anyways, if you have any tips for a first “date” thing please let me know because I am panicking. Thanks lol.

Thank you so much for reading my post! Please like, comment and subscribe to see more of my posts. Also, don’t miss my last post where I talked about all of my favorite summer fashion essentials!                                                                                    – Briana

Question: Do you like corgis? Also, read above to give me advice.

  1. I absolutely adore corgis! The beach day sounds like corgi heaven.

As for your first date, I know it’s nerve racking but just try to be yourself! If you feel like you can’t be yourself they aren’t the one.

    Great post!

  2. This looks like the best day. I love Corgis and your dog is adorable 🙂 Good luck with everything, especially your date. I agree with the comment above. If you don’t feel comfortable, then just know they aren’t the right person x

  3. Spending a day with a 1000 dogs sounds like heaven! Everything happens for a reason as they say so don’t get too disheartened. I love your photos. They are so nice and vibrant x

  4. Happy early birthday! Your dog is so cute! Don’t worry too much on the job thing. Did you want to work at the bakery because you love to bake? Maybe you should bake things and sell them to people you know or people in your neighborhood? I heard a podcast on Don’t Keep Your Day Job and the guy who now runs his own cheesecake bakery, started off making them on the side when he knew nothing about baking cheesecakes. It turned into a passion and now he has a bakery.

Also for date ideas, I’d go somewhere where there will be a lot of people. Kind of like a event or festival. I’m a nerd so I like museums as well because you can find a lot of talking points there.

    1. I like to bake, but it wasn’t the only reason I wanted to work there. That’s a good idea though! Thanks for reading! 😊
