One of the most important things to remember is why you are motivated. Think of the end goal. If that’s getting straight A’s remember that, or if it is to be involved in the school remember it. Whatever it is, let it motivate you and inspire you to try hard each and every day.

If you are worried about making friends in class, give someone a compliment. That will automatically make the person happy and also gives you something to talk about. Even if you aren’t looking to specifically make a friend, still try to compliment someone to make their day better.

Try Your Hardest

Try your hardest. Make sure that you give everything your all. Think of all of the times that you might not give it your all and then think of how much that is all added up. If you give everything your all it will make a difference.

Make sure that you have enough routine in your life. Make sure that you have a good morning routine that isn’t stressful and gives you enough time to get ready. Also, make sure that you eat right and get enough exercise in your day. If you do these things, it will make school a little easier. 🙂

Ok, so first things first, you are probably nervous for the first day. There is a lot of unknown about the first day and it can cause some stress. Don’t forget to be confident! I know that this is easier said than done, but fake it until you make it. Also, wearing an outfit that you feel good in that is maybe out of your comfort zone a little, will make you feel confident.

Be Kind

If you aren’t nervous about some of these things, be aware that others are. If you noticed someone that looks shy or scared or something else make it a point to compliment them or just be kind. Always be kind to people and try to make new friends.

Don’t forget to pray if you are scared about something. Make sure to spend time with God every day and make sure to pray or write things down. It really does help! Back to school can be stressful for some people, but if you really try to trust the Lord it will make it easier.

Good Grades

Lastly, I am going to be sharing some tips in order to get good grades. These work for any grade, but I am in college and these help me out a lot.

Use a planner – use a planner and check it frequently so that you aren’t surprised by due dates of assignments.

Notes – take handwritten notes so that you memorize the information.

Extra credit – always do the extra credit no matter if you think you need it or not.

Study – make sure to study! Read the chapters you are supposed to and look over your notes.

Last minute study – if you tend to forget things during a test look over that specific thing right before the test and then maybe write it down on the test when you can. Then you only have to remember it for a couple seconds.

Time for homework – schedule a specific time each day dedicated to homework.

Don’t procrastinate – think of how much better you would do on your work if you had more time to do it, so don’t procrastinate!

Flash cards – flash cards are a super helpful way to study that make it easier to whip them out and study whenever you can. It also gives you a way to write down the information so that you remember it better.

Cute supplies – having cute school supplies makes you want to use them more. So get school supplies that you like and you will take more notes or use them to your advantage.

Playlist – listen to a calm but cool playlist while you study. It makes it less boring and helps me focus more on my work.

Phone – don’t get distracted by your phone. Also, try to stay off of it as much as possible because it is a huge distraction.

Snacks – bring snacks to school with you so you are full and focused on your work instead of going out to eat and wasting time and money.

Those are all of my tips for back to school! I hope you all have a great year in school and try your best! Thank you so much for reading and don’t forget to like, comment and subscribe 🙂                                                                                                               – Briana

  1. These are all wonderful tips! I wish I’d used a planner far earlier in my education. I used to be quite lazy about it and never really figured out what to do with it (which is silly because obviously I knew what to do with it!) but now that I’ve started using one, everything is so much more simplified and what not.
